Peace & Calming is a, self pressure, Energy Medicine exercise designed to relieve tension, stress, worry, anxiety and help you to drop out of "fight or flight" mode.
When you are in "Fight, Flight, Freeze", a sympathetic state, your bodies immune system and repair processes are shunted. When you are in "Rest & Digest", a parasympathetic state, your body is able to repair, grow and rejuvenate and your mind is more able to be creative and focused.
If you find yourself in a fight or flight state consider using the Peace & Calming Energy Medicine exercise to return to rest & digest.
By sedating the Triple Warmer meridian and soothing the Vagus Nerve and neck musculature you are guiding your body back to a state of Calm. Hold the pressure points for as long as you feel called to do so. I might recommend a minimum of 3 slow deep belly breaths.
